Eddie Diaz: groaning loudly in pain, broken ribs, hasn’t taken any meds, can’t even walk on his own
also Eddie Diaz: I’m fine!

rose-buddie:

Ok so I’m not even upset that the couch metaphor wasn’t about Eddie. But I am a little upset that they did all that work with the symbolism of the couch and how Buck needed to find his own agency, only to then turn around and tie it back into yet another person outside of Buck himself. Make it make sense

sibylsleaves:

here’s the thing. and i am not just saying this as a buddie shipper. but I truly believe buck’s entire storyline this season would have worked better WITHOUT a love interest thrown in at the end. the sperm donor stuff and the lightning strike was enough and the development of BOTH of those storylines felt like it got completely consumed by him ending up with natalia at the end. him ending up with her had…..literally NOTHING to do with either storyline or with his overall “search for happiness” storyline introduced in 6a. It felt completely disconnected from the rest of his arc and I just wanna know like. why.

madneyporchengagement:

Athena, more than almost anyone else, knows how hard Maddie fought to survive at Big Bear. Athena likely helped Buck with the initial first aid until medics arrived. Athena listened as Maddie whispered that Doug was dead, she’s sorry, but he was gonna kill her. When Buck left with Maddie, Athena hiked to Doug’s body and witnessed first-hand just how desperate Maddie’s fight had been. And Maddie knows Athena understands because it was likely Athena that Maddie gave her statement to at the hospital and it was Athena who reassured her that she had no other choice than to kill Doug.

So that scene at the hospital between Athena and Maddie is so much more than Athena congratulating Maddie on her engagement. It’s Athena, who saw Maddie in her most vulnerable state and called her strong, being proud that Maddie has rebuilt herself and her life. And it’s Maddie, who has worked so hard to heal and grow and who knows how hard Athena fought to bring her home, relishing the reality that she’s survived long enough to build this glorious life Athena can be proud of.
